Amex EveryDay Preferred Credit Card Benefits

The main benefit of using the Amex EveryDay Preferred card is being a part of the Amex's Membership Rewards program. This program allows to redeem earned reward in various ways, plus it allows to transfer points to some frequent customer programs. The points are earned easily with this card. First, all purchases at supermarkets will earn 3x points (up to the year limit). Second, purchases at gas stations will earn 2x points without caps or limits. And the third. All other purchases will bring you 1x points per dollar spent anywhere.

The card is ideal for those of you who like to use your credit card often, spends a lot on groceries, wants variety in redeeming rewards, and no hassle with rotating bonus categories.

Amex EveryDay Preferred Credit Card Drawbacks

As most Amex credit cards, this card comes with a high annual fee which is not even waived for the first year. This card is not for moderate spenders. You should really spend a lot to cover the cost of the card. Another disadvantage is that the main rewarding category - supermarkets - has a cap. You will earn 3x points on up to $6,000 per year in purchases at supermarkets. So if your spendings are significantly higher in this category, you may look for another credit card.
