Reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate information. However, the information on the cards' rates and terms is presented without warranty. When you click on the "apply online" link you will have an opportunity to review the credit card terms and conditions on the credit card issuer's web site.

Regular Cards

Regular cards offer decent APRs along with loyalty points, gift cards, opening bonuses for milestone expenditures and other incentives related to travel. While the annual fee is waived off on some cards, it isn't on others. The charges are reported to consumer reporting agencies, enhancing your credit history and the cards are usually accepted at millions of locations around the world.

Cash rebate credit cards

Besides the regular features like opening bonus, introductory promotional APR on balance transfers and fraud assistance, cash rebate credit cards offer card holders a cash back discount on some or all purchases charged on the credit card. The cash back amount could vary between 1 - 5%, with special bonuses on purchases like gas, medicines or air tickets.

Hotel reward credit cards

These credit cards are for card holders who travel very frequently. These credit card companies have special tie ups with hospitality chains as a result of which card holders get discounts on their hotel stay expenses, if they charge them on their credit cards. This helps save money while on business travel or vacation.

Airline mile credit cards

These credit cards offer you airline miles for every dollar charged on the credit card. Card holders also get opening bonus miles in the tune of 10,000 and further bonus miles for milestone expenses as the card is charged more frequently. These airline miles can be redeemed as discounts on air tickets or for hotel and restaurant bills.

Student credit cards

These are special credit cards approved for students. They come with benefits like cash back offers for travel, department store purchases, gas purchases, restaurant bills, etc. For approval, a co-signor has to be present, with good credit history. Students below 21, without a co-signor need to have proof of income for credit card approval.

Credit cards for bad credit

These credit cards are offered for those with no credit or bad credit history. There are some special incentives like intro APR for the first few months and no annual fee. But, by and large, these credit cards might charge higher fees or APRs on outstanding balances. However, since the credit of the customer is reported to all 3 consumer reporting agencies, these cards will help customers to build or rebuild their credit rating over a period of time, as long as timely payments are made with all creditors and balances are kept within the credit limits. With an improved credit score, they can possibly transfer balances to a credit card with better terms.
