This offer is only available to new cardmembers.

One more important condition to qualify for this bonus is you should pay the $89 annual fee. The sign up bonus is equal to two roundtrip tickets, because reward travel for cardmembers begins at 20,000 miles.

How do I earn miles and keep track of miles?

You earn miles based on your purchases. There is no limit on the number of miles that you can earn. As long as you keep your account open and you remain in good standing, the miles won’t expire.

Every month you will see the accrued mileage credit for the period on your account statement. There may be delays between the purchase dates recorded on the Barlcays and the US Airways reports. Barclays doesn’t report mileage credit until it has been awarded by US Airways.

Once I become a cardmember, am I still eligible for newly advertised bonuses?

Barclays will periodically offer bonuses or mileage credit rewards to attract new US Airways MasterCard members. These are meant for people who are not current cardmembers and have not previously been cardmembers, unless the offer states that current members are eligible. Once you sign up for a US Airways MasterCard Account you may no longer be eligible to get bonuses or awards for a new account. If you get a bonus or an award that you are not eligible for, Barclays may instruct US Airways to reduce the mileage credit or charge your account for the value of the award.

Will I get additional benefits beyond my sign-up bonus?

US Airways MasterCard Cardmembers will be mailed Welcome Kits within 2 to 4 weeks of opening the account. You will also receive an anniversary kit within 2 to 4 weeks of the anniversary of the date you opened your account once you pay your annual fee. Program benefits include:

  • Companion Certificate
  • $75 Club Membership Discount Voucher
  • US Airways Club® pass

These bonuses will not be active until you have used your account for at least one purchase.

The Companion Certificate enables you to get one companion certificate valid for two $99 companion tickets annually. This is valid for round-trip coach class travel within and between the U.S. and Canada when the cardmember buys a qualifying ticket which costs at least $250. You can use the certificate for travel within a year, but you have to buy your tickets within 9 months of the issue date.

Cardmembers are eligible to get a complimentary US Airways Club pass. This is valid for a one-time visit at any domestic US Airways-operated Club. They also get a $75 discount voucher towards an annual Club Membership each year, but that cannot be combined with any other discounts. Both the day pass and $75 discount voucher expire a year later.
